kingdom writers

An excerpt from an upcoming book I’m writing for Christian Writers:

“A great writer is one who is willing to go through the ominous doors, dark rooms and the weird and sometimes scary places of their minds and hearts; places where everything is beautiful and ugly and broken and stable and insane and filled with both the divinity and humanity of the human spirit either for the sake of their characters or for their own. A writer who is not willing to do that kind of digging, that kind of dirty exploration, will find themselves only scratching the surface; floundering in a pool of mediocrity as an oil well untapped.

The ones who are willing to do the work will most likely not be the most successful or the most published but, in terms of a Kingdom agenda, will be the most effective. “
